Modular 3D Printed PLA Sandpaper Holder/Organizer with Snap-In Grit Labels

Keep your sanding discs and sheets organized, visible, and easy to grab with this modular 3D printed sandpaper holder. Designed and printed by me, this holder was created to solve the usual shop problem: stacks of sanding discs, mystery grits, loose sheets, and the classic “I swear I had 220 somewhere” disaster.

Each bay is designed to hold common sanding supplies, including 2" discs, 3" discs, and larger 5.5" x 5.5" sanding sheets or pads. The modular design allows you to build the exact setup you need. Start with a few bays or expand the system by adding more sections as your sanding collection grows.

Each section includes a snap-in removable label, making it easy to organize by grit size. The labels can be changed or replaced as needed, so your setup is not locked into one arrangement forever. Because apparently, sandpaper grits multiply when nobody is looking.

The body features hexagon-shaped cutouts throughout the storage pockets. These cutouts help reduce material weight while also allowing sawdust and chips to fall through instead of collecting inside the cubbies. This keeps the holder cleaner and more shop-friendly than a closed-bottom design.

Each section is 2" wide on the inside, giving enough space for a useful stack of discs or sheets while keeping the overall footprint compact. Reinforced mounting holes are built into every section, with two sets of mounting holes per bay, giving you strong and flexible mounting options for a wall, cabinet, bench side, or sanding station.

This holder is printed from PLA plastic, making it lightweight, sturdy, and well-suited for indoor workshop organization. It is ideal for woodworkers, turners, carvers, CNC users, hobby makers, and anyone who is tired of digging through a drawer full of sanding chaos.

Assembly Required:

This item ships disassembled to help protect the parts during shipping and to keep the packaging practical. The buyer is required to assemble the holder using epoxy. A small bead of epoxy along the connecting surfaces is recommended for a strong, permanent bond. Once assembled and cured, the unit is ready to mount and use in your shop.
